HP CF289 series products chip upgrade notification

According to the monitoring of chip suppliers, HP released new firmware 20230705 on 8th August 2023 for printers using CF289 series cartridges via their official website.

Following the upgrade, printers may encounter an error "Non-HP Chip Detected".

【Solution 】

1. Subsequent shipments of our products will be changed to upgraded chip.

2. Pls sell normally if chip was manufactured after 19^th-June 2023 ( the code is 26 on the chip ).

3. Please advise end-users not to manually upgrade firmware from the official website and disable the HP Automatic Update to minimize the upgrade risk.

4. Our monitoring indicates that the recent OEM upgrade has closed the pathway for downgrading printer firmware, rendering the reversion to older firmware versions no longer viable

5. If customers have found the involved products cannot be recognized by their applicable printers.
